[Summary] 

Devices enrolled in SDS IAM & EMM do no update Google play apps automatically.

 

[Resolution]
SDS IAM & EMM does not control Play Store app updates.  Play Store apps get auto updated after enabling auto update on the device. This is not an EMM limitation, but the design of the Google Play Store.

 

To enable auto update:
1. Launch the Google Play Store app on the device
2. Click on the right top corner stack symbol, it will open the left menu of the app.
3. Select Settings->Auto-update apps
5. Select the appropriate option. Options are:
   a. Do not auto-update apps
   b. Auto-update apps at any time. Data charges may apply
   c. Auto-update apps over Wi-Fi only
