[Summary]
The option to select fingerprint as the unlock method after device enrollment to Samsung SDS IAM & EMM no longer appears visible to users.
[Resolution]
If you set the Require passcode on device policy to Yes in Samsung SDS IAM & EMM, users must set a passcode as the device unlock method and will not be able to select fingerprint, pattern, or any other unlock method.
To modify the Require passcode on device policy:
Log in to the Samsung SDS IAM & EMM Admin Portal.
Click Policies > Add Policy Set or click on an existing policy.
Expand Policies > Mobile Device Policies > Common Mobile Settings > Security Settings.
From the Require passcode on device dropdown:
Select Yes to require users to set up a passcode as the device unlock method.
Select No to allow users to use fingerprint, pattern, or any other unlock method.
Click Save.
