The LDAP (Lightweight Directory Access Protocol) from Knox Manage connection fails when the use of Samsung Cloud Connector (SCC) is set to False, even though all the required ports are opened on your environment.
The LDAP connections that are not using SCC are blocked by default for all tenants for security reasons.
We recommend to use the SCC whenever possible, for better security connection. Please see this article for more information and list of the required ports.
If you are not able to use the SCC software, and require a direct LDAP connection, you can open a support ticket to request direct LDAP connection to be opened for your tenant. This ticket should include the tenant ID (the part that comes after the @ in your login username), your outgoing public IP and the ports you will be using for the LDAP direct connection.
Why does the Knox Manage LDAP connection fail when there is no Samsung Cloud Connector in use, but all required ports are opened?
