Environment
Knox E-FOTA Advanced
Overview
This article will show you how to troubleshoot a missing update file.
Resolution
When you execute a campaign, you may experience an operation error caused by missing delta update files. In this case, the status info is as follows:
‘Missing update file that corresponds to the reported device's tool version (-7032)’
This status means you must register all relevant delta files to the server that lead up to the target firmware version.
NOTE — This fix will require devices to reboot multiple times corresponding to the number of delta update files registered to Knox E-FOTA.
To check the delta file registered to the Knox E-FOTA server:
- Log in to the Knox E-FOTA Advanced portal.
- Go to Software Management > Firmware.
- Click the Name of the target firmware under the firmware list.
- Check the delta update file for the target version. Verify that the target version is registered to the server.
If the delta file isn’t registered to the server, check the previous version registered. You may need to register prior versions leading up to the target version.
In the following example for the SM-G955F_DBT model, the target version is G955FXXS5DSH5. The delta firmware for the G955FXXU4DSBA ► G955FXXS5DSH5 path is registered as FW-2019814-56315.bin, but the delta firmware for the G955FXXS4CRLB ► G955FXXS5DSH5 path isn’t registered yet.
To update the devices to the target version, register the delta file for the G955FXXS4CRLB ► G955FXXS5DSH5 path.
